The Comac ARJ-21, now known as the C-909, is a 78–90 seat regional jet developed by China’s Comac. Its development began in 2002, with the prototype flying in 2008. Certified in 2014, it entered service in 2016 with Chengdu Airlines. The jet was rebranded as the C-909 in 2024 following corporate restructuring.
